Garden Parties Bridal Florist was founded over 15 years ago by Joan Parrillo and Dee Maialetti in response to their personal experiences that florists too often took advantage of brides and did not work to make their wedding day special.
Joan and Dee had both been working for large florists in Philadelphia, and saw that these "big name" shops treated their wedding customers horribly. Instead of using the freshest flowers, it was policy to use older stock. If the right color was not on hand, another color, or worse, another flower, was used in it's place. While they saw this all the time, it was never more apparent to them just how much it hurt the brides than at Dee's own wedding. Dee ordered her flowers from her employer, but instead of the special treatment one might expect to get from their employer, she was victimized with the same poor quality - nothing was right.
The wedding was barely over when Joan and Dee decided to set out on their own. They vowed then to only use the freshest flowers available and go the extra mile to ensure that no bride would go through what Dee herself had.
Today, Garden Parties remains true to that vow. Working with local growers to obtain the "cream of the crop" as well as the large wholesalers, Garden Parties still provides only the best. Each order is carefully handcrafted to meet the expectations and dreams of the bride. Every detail is individually planned with the bride, custom designed just for her. While catalogs and photographs may be good starting points, Garden Parties tailors each design to the wishes and dreams of the bride.
